Product details

  • Age: 3-6 years
  • Contains: One wooden bead-maze board with ten numbered, color-matched wells (1-10), captive colored magnetic beads sealed under a clear top, and one green magnet pen attached by its own cord.
  • Material: Solid wood with a water-based, non-toxic finish; safety-tested. Clear protective top; the beads are magnetic (steel-cored).
  • Care: Wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth; do not soak. Keep the wood out of standing water and direct heat.

WARNING: Choking hazard - contains small parts and small magnets. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Seek medical help if a magnet is swallowed.

It's really nice to know the quantity and color naming. With magnets, children become very focused. Good for eye-hand coordination and small muscle development. Concentration also improved.

The hand that holds a pencil one day

That magnetic pen in their fist is doing more than chasing beads home — it's the very grip that will hold a pencil one day. Watch them go quiet and steer each bead into place, and you're seeing focus, and a writer's hand, quietly take shape.

The pincer grip behind first letters

It looks like a game. Good - that's the point. Every drag of the pen is real work for a growing mind:

🔢 Counts beads into numbered wells

🧩 Matches each bead to its well

✨ Guides the pen along winding paths

🔧 Builds early one-to-one counting

It's just like the pictures, the detail of the magnetic pointer being attached with a string is great (I have another board that isn't like that, it comes loose with the risk of getting lost). I recommend it.

Wooden Magnetic Bead Maze - howto

How to play

  1. Show them how the magnet pen lifts and drags a bead under the clear top, then hand it over.
  2. Start with color: find a red bead and steer it into the red well.
  3. Move to counting: fill well 1 with one bead, well 2 with two, all the way to ten - out loud together.
  4. Drag the beads back to the start and play again. It resets in seconds, with nothing to clean up.
Wooden Magnetic Bead Maze - gift

Sealed beads, attached pen, still here

Not the toy forgotten by February. No batteries, no noise - sealed beads, an attached pen, nothing to lose under the car seat. A calm screen-free present, and an investment that grows with them.

Questions, answered

It's a flat wooden board with ten small wells, each labeled with a number from 1 to 10 and a matching color. The child uses a magnet pen to drag steel-cored colored beads through recessed channels into the right well. The beads stay captive under a clear top, so they can't be tipped out or lost.

Three skills at once: color recognition (ten distinct colors), counting 1 to 10 (each numbered well is filled to match its number), and fine-motor control (the magnet-pen grip that leads to holding a pencil). The self-correcting design lets a child check and fix their own work without being told.

Best for ages 3 to 6. It contains small parts and small magnets, so it is not suitable for children under 3. Younger children in the range love it with a parent guiding the colors and counting; by five or six many run the board on their own.

Yes. The board is solid wood with a water-based, non-toxic finish, and the toy is safety-tested (test reports on file). It carries small parts and small magnets, so keep it for ages 3 and up.

Yes - the board is solid wood with a clear protective top. The beads are the magnetic part (steel-cored), which is what lets the pen move them. Everything you touch is real wood.

No. The beads are sealed under the clear top and are only ever moved by the magnet pen, and the pen ties to the board with its own cord. There are no loose pieces to drop or vacuum up.

No - it's a fully manual, no-power toy. Nothing to charge, nothing to replace, and no sound.

Yes. It's a single self-contained board with sealed beads and an attached pen - tabletop scale and easy to tuck in a bag, which makes it well suited to cars, planes, and waiting rooms.
